Students have had the amazing opportunity to learn facts from the Step Up Now to Healthy Relationships presentation. The presentation encompassed three days where students gained valuable information to make informed decisions in their near futures.
Each day students were resented the following topics: Day 1: goal-setting, maturity, character, respect, reasons for sexual activity, vulnerability caused by alcohol/drugs, and possible results of sexual activity; Day 2: STD/STI statistics, types of STDs, exposure risks, symptoms, effectiveness of condoms, possible physical effects, and risk reduction vs. risk avoidance. Day 3: your value, abstinence, levels of intimacy, true love vs. infatuation, progression of sexual expression, boundaries, and second chances.
